The Public/Private Partnership (P3) Program Managers of Idaho, Oregon, Alaska, and Washington, in partnership with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and the private sector, have developed the Private Sector Preparedness Response and Recovery (PSPR2) Seminar Series.

Each 90-minute seminar will include subject matter experts from business and the government sharing critical infrastructure best practices, valuable lessons, and planning resources and tools to assist with mass casualty impact and recovery. This series is designed for companies and organizations interested in enhancing their knowledge and understanding of the impact and recovery of a mass casualty event.

Seminars are not cumulative and may be taken individually. Each seminar counts toward continuing education with CEU credits. The first Seminar is March 16. They will run through November 16, 2023.

In this introductory 90-minute session, participants will hear how and why this private sector led, CISA supported series was envisioned and will explore not only the issues businesses must prepare for in the calm leading up to one of these events, but also the other complex and emotional challenges that often linger for years afterwards. Participants will also learn how they can better prepare for the storm that will confront them not only in the first 72 hours, but also for the short-, medium-, and long-term aftermath.

By approaching this subject holistically, it is PSPR2’s hope that we can begin to prepare the private sector to navigate the layers of complexity that often can threaten the very existence of businesses, and the lives of both their employees and customers in the communities they serve.
